Assembly Names Matt Adams Global COO, Clare Chapman EU CEO

Assembly, the global media agency within the Stagwell network, has announced a leadership reshuffle, promoting Matt Adams to Global Chief Operating Officer and Clare Chapman to CEO of its Europe operations.

Adams, who has led Assembly Europe since 2023, will now take on global responsibilities, focusing on operational excellence, commercial leadership, and strengthening media partnerships. Chapman, previously Europe Chief of Staff, steps into his former role, tasked with expanding the agency’s regional presence and deepening client relationships. Both appointments are effective immediately.

Adams Takes on Global Role

With over 20 years in the industry, Adams has played a key role in Assembly’s European expansion. Under his leadership, the agency extended its footprint into Poland, incorporating Brand New Galaxy as Assembly Digital Commerce. He also secured major clients, including Estée Lauder Companies and Pipedrive, while driving the agency’s B Corp certification in Europe, underscoring its commitment to sustainability.

In his new position as Global COO, Adams will focus on enhancing Assembly’s global delivery operations, which span over 1,000 experts in India, Egypt, and the Philippines. He will also lead the agency’s commercial strategy, aiming to align remuneration models more closely with client business growth. His remit includes overseeing Assembly’s global media partnerships and fostering innovation across key service areas, including brand and performance media, data, and cloud solutions.

Chapman to Lead European Expansion

Based in London, Chapman brings extensive industry experience, having held leadership roles at Maxus, Essence, and Carat. She will oversee Assembly Europe’s product, client services, marketing, activation, and consultancy teams, with a focus on accelerating growth and strengthening partnerships across the UK and Europe.
