Clarios, a global leader in advanced energy storage solutions, has been named one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies by Ethisphere for the third consecutive year. The recognition highlights Clarios’ ongoing commitment to ethical business practices, sustainability, and corporate governance.
The company is one of only 136 organisations worldwide to receive this accolade in 2024 and one of just seven from the automotive industry. The award reaffirms Clarios’ dedication to maintaining high ethical standards across its operations.
Recognition for ethical excellence
Ethisphere, an independent organisation that promotes ethical business practices, evaluates companies based on a rigorous assessment process. This includes over 240 proof points covering areas such as compliance, governance, environmental and social impact, and ethical culture. A panel of experts then conducts a qualitative review, spending thousands of hours analysing each application.
Clarios President and CEO Mark Wallace expressed his pride in the company’s achievement. “We are thrilled to be recognised as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies for the third year in a row,” he said. “This honour is a testament to the dedication and integrity of our nearly 18,000 team members worldwide. Their commitment to our core values and ethical standards drives our mission to create sustainable and innovative energy solutions.”
Commitment to sustainability and governance
The award reflects Clarios’ efforts to integrate ethics and sustainability into its business model. The company has implemented robust governance policies and compliance initiatives designed to ensure transparency and accountability at all levels.
Ethisphere’s Executive Chair & Chief Strategy Officer, Erica Salmon Byrne, praised Clarios for setting a strong example. “Clarios continues to demonstrate that strong ethics and business success go hand in hand,” she said. “Their commitment to ethical excellence serves as an inspiration to other companies.”
Looking ahead
Mark Wallace emphasised that the recognition was not just a reflection of past achievements but also a commitment to future progress. “Being named one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies is not only a recognition of past achievements but also a commitment to continuous improvement and adherence to the highest ethical standards,” he said.
The award reinforces Clarios’ position as a leader in ethical business practices within the automotive sector. The company aims to build on its success by continuing to prioritise integrity, sustainability, and responsible corporate governance.
