Urbacon Holding has been recognised as the 42nd top international contractor for 2024, as reported by Engineering News-Record (ENR). The announcement was made during the ConteQ Expo 2024 in Qatar, where Urbacon participated as the official sponsor of the event, celebrating its achievements in the construction industry.

The expo served as a platform for Urbacon’s Board of Directors and senior management to showcase the company’s commitment to integrating advanced construction technologies into its operations. This initiative aims to enhance efficiency, safety, and sustainability within the sector. Among the innovations introduced at the event were three cutting-edge construction methods: 3D construction printing, concrete modular construction, and steel structure modular construction.

These innovative methods are set to play a crucial role in Urbacon’s upcoming projects, including a series of schools slated for construction in 2025. Utilizing COBOD’s third-generation 3D construction printers, the two-storey schools will cover an area of 100 x 100 metres. The BOD XL printers, recognised for their efficiency and precision, are expected to enable fast and cost-effective construction while prioritising safety and sustainability.

Moutaz Al Khayyat, Chairman of Urbacon Holding, expressed pride in the company’s recognition, stating, “Being acknowledged as one of the top international contractors is a testament to our commitment to innovation and excellence. The technologies we are implementing will not only improve project efficiency but also set new standards in safety and sustainability across the industry.”

Ramez Al Khayyat, President of Urbacon Holding, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the company’s focus on strategic investments in innovation and personnel. “Our success as a top international contractor is a result of our strategic investments in innovation and our people,” he said. “At Urbacon Holding, we are committed to continually evolving our processes to meet the changing demands of the global construction industry. The integration of these advanced technologies into our projects reflects our forward-thinking approach and determination to deliver the highest quality outcomes for our clients.”

The recognition by ENR underscores Urbacon Holding’s position as a leader in the global construction industry, showcasing its ability to take on more complex and ambitious projects. The company’s emphasis on cutting-edge technology is seen as pivotal in navigating the evolving landscape of construction, where efficiency and sustainability are increasingly paramount.

Urbacon’s participation in the ConteQ Expo 2024 further exemplifies its commitment to fostering dialogue and collaboration within the industry. By sharing insights and advancements with peers and partners, Urbacon aims to drive the construction sector towards a more innovative and sustainable future.

As Urbacon Holding continues to implement these advanced technologies, it is well-positioned to maintain its competitive edge and influence within the international construction market, reaffirming its commitment to excellence and innovation in every project it undertakes.
